RAPAPORT... Botswana Diamonds and joint-venture partner ALROSA  have identified two targets for drilling at its PL-117 license area in Botswana's Orapa region.

The first target, AN117/2, will be drilled in September, said John Teeling, Botswana Diamonds' chairman. At the same time, the partners will carry out further work to identify the exact drill site for the second target, AN117/1.

“This is what we hoped for from the collaboration with ALROSA. New eyes, new ideas and new techniques bringing a fresh approach to exploring the best diamond region in the world,” Teeling said.

Botswana Diamonds and ALROSA each own a 50 percent stake in Sunland Minerals, the joint venture company carrying out the exploration work.
