RAPAPORT... The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) reelected Stéphane Fischler as president at the first meeting of the organization’s new board Monday. Nishit Parikh was named vice-president.

“I look forward to continuing the excellent cooperation with both Mr Fischler and Mr Parikh in our board of directors,” said Ari Epstein, the AWDC’s chief executive officer.

The new board was elected last week, with Vimal Lakhani, Nishit Parikh, Amratlal Chetankumar Shah and Rajiv Kothari winning new spots and Samir Mehta and Jacques Weisz reelected.

Fischler (pictured), who has worked at Fischler Diamonds since 1979, was first elected president of the AWDC in 2012 and chosen again for a second two-year term in 2014.
