De Beers Debuts on E-Commerce Site Farfetch

RAPAPORT... De Beers Diamond Jewellers has launched an online store on e-commerce platform Farfetch dedicated
to its fine-jewelry collections, the company said
Tuesday.
The jeweler is featuring designs from its Enchanted Lotus
and Talisman lines on the retail-and-fashion website, as well as
some of its lower-price designs such as My First De Beers. Farfetch currently
ships to 100 countries and is available in 10 languages, enabling De Beers to
broaden its retail market, according to François Delage, CEO of De Beers
Diamond Jewellers.
“This is an important step for our brand, providing instant
access to a global audience with efficiency and scale, whilst strengthening our
brand presence within new and existing luxury markets,” Delage said. “Through
Farfetch’s marketplace model, we aim to deliver an inspirational and seamless
shopping experience for our customers, with diamond mastery at its core.”
Farfetch provides consumers with access to
information about De Beers, as well as giving the background story behind each
of the collections available through the store.
The site now also carries collections from Chopard, Pomellato
and Tiffany & Co., according to Fashion Network, an online news service.
