ALROSA’s Polyakov Steps Up to WDC President

RAPAPORT... Andrey Polyakov, the vice-president of ALROSA, has taken
over as president of the World Diamond Council (WDC).
Polyakov (pictured) has been vice-president of the WDC since 2015 and
assumed the presidency on May 22, succeeding Edward Asscher. Asscher’s two-year
term concluded the same day.
Polyakov was elected
vice-president of the council in October. The executive will work on
the development of the WDC and strengthen its role in the Kimberley Process,
ALROSA said.
