Asian Star’s 4Q Revenue -3%, Profit -25%

RAPAPORT... India-listed Asian Star reported quarterly revenue declined 2.6 percent year on year to $101.7 million (INR 6.9 billion) in the three months that ended December 31. Profit slumped 25 percent to $2.2 million.

Diamond sales slipped 0.5 percent to $889.9 million during the quarter. Jewelry sales totaled $17.8 million, representing a 12-percent decrease over a year before, the diamond manufacturer and De Beers sightholder said in a statement February 9.
