RAPAPORT... Blue Nile launched an Arabic version of its retail website. The new website will allow consumers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to shop on Blue Nile in their native language for the first time with the option of making purchases in the dirhams, the local currency. Blue Nile will also have Arabic–speaking diamond and jewelry consultants available to assist with orders.

Blue Nile explained that its website features the full range of fine jewelry, including diamond, platinum, pearl and yellow and white gold. Customers will be able to select their diamond from 130,000 certified stones and create a custom diamond engagement ring using Blue Nile's Build Your Own Ring® tool.

"Blue Nile began serving the UAE in 2011 and has developed a loyal customer following resulting in one of the largest average order sizes we see in our international markets," said Jon Sainsbury, the president of Blue Nile's international division. "This enhancement will make the process of finding the perfect engagement ring or fine jewelry gift even easier for our customers in the region."

Arabic is the seventh language available to Blue Nile consumers. The online jewelry retailer also offers access to its site in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
