Petra Finds 23-Carat Pink Diamond in Tanzania

RAPAPORT... Petra
Diamonds has recovered a 23.16-carat pink diamond of “exceptional color and
clarity” from the Williamson mine in Tanzania.
The gem is
the most significant recovery by Petra from Williamson to date and an example
of the high-quality pink diamonds for which the mine is known, the Jersey-based
miner said in a statement November 27.
The stone will now
be offered for sale by appointment in Antwerp as part of Petra’s December
tender process, the company added.
