RAPAPORT... Pandora has hired Karl Walsh as its senior vice president of global e-commerce in an effort to improve online sales and customer experience.

Walsh (pictured), who has previously worked at Accenture and McKinsey, will be responsible for leading the newly formed e-commerce department, part of a strategy to boost the brand’s omni-channel presence. He will report to CEO Anders Colding-Friis.

“The new [division] should make it possible to strengthen cooperation with Pandora’s 100 markets, and ensure rapid progress in the e-commerce field,” the company said Wednesday.

Pandora’s sales did not meet the company’s targets in 2017, while profit dropped 4%. Additionally, traffic at brick-and-mortar stores in the US and Asia Pacific — Pandora’s largest markets — has slowed.
