RAPAPORT... The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has elected Jenny Luker, president of Platinum Guild International, as its new international-board president.

Sara Yood, senior counsel of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, will serve as treasurer, while Rebecca Moskal, a partner at jewelry-marketing firm Communiqué, will take on the position of corporate secretary. Lauren Thompson of Jewelers of America is the association’s new vice president of chapter affairs.

“We have a new executive committee and a board reflecting our diverse membership in terms of geography and segment of the industry,” said Luker (pictured). “This gives us a chance to view our mission with fresh eyes. The range and depth of experience of our board members, and our strong regional chapters and affiliates, are our greatest assets.”

Also serving on the 2018 board are outgoing board president Brandee Dallow; Molly Bell, WJA advisory council member; former president Kendra Bridelle; Jacqueline Cassaway; and Brenda Gamba, president of the WJA Foundation Board.

Three US regional directors have been elected to liaise between the international board and each of the WJA chapters: Danielle Ingwer Cohen, Sara Commers and Jen Cullen Williams.
