AWDC Hosts DRC Economic Mission Meeting on Sept. 5

Press Release: In October 2014, a group of Belgian business people will embark on a major AWEX/FIT economic mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This mission is organized  by Jérôme Roux, Belgium’s economic representative in the DRC. On Friday, September 5, Roux will present the program about this mission at the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).

The diamond industry will be high on the mission's agenda. Visits to Mbuji Maji, Kalanga, Tshikapa and Kinshasa are planned from October 16 to 22. In addition to visits of several mining projects and facilities, meetings will also be held with local diamond producers, purchasing agencies and traders, representatives of the jewelry sector and local, provincial and national governments.

The AWDC welcomes the local trade on September 5 at 2:30 p.m. in the video room of the AWDC building (Hoveniersstraat 22, 2018 Antwerp).
