Bovet's Amadeo Fleurier 43 'Barb Horse' Makes U.S. Debut

Swiss watchmaker Bovet 1822 debuted its Bovet Barb Horse, Amadeo Fleurier 43, in the U.S. at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas.
The watch is hand-painted and hand-engraved by artisans at Bovet, while being crafted with traditional Chinese techniques to honor the Chinese Year of the Horse, according to the compan y.
Bovet added that the hand-painted and lacquered dial required 100 hours to immortalize the horse, which represents loyalty and elegance. The Fleurisanne motif is traditionally used to decorate movements and cases that are manufactured over the past two centuries, and the engraving technique complements the equestrian theme of the miniature painting.
The ornaments of the noble equine's saddle, stirrups and tack are embellished with gold leaf.
The Amadeo piece was created in 18-karat red gold with a full skin alligator strap.
