Renowned Designer Stephen Webster to Appear at International Diamond Week in Israel

RAPAPORT... The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will host renowned U.K. jewelry designer Stephen Webster as a guest of honor at the upcoming winter edition of the International Diamond Week taking place in Ramat Gan.

Webster will participate in the opening ceremony on February 15 and a panel discussion on the same day on diamond and jewelry marketing, according to an IDE statement February 1.

Webster, who received the U.K. honor of MBE in 2013 for services to training and skills in the British jewelry industry, said he was “excited to be coming back to Israel after an absence of more than 20 years.”

International Diamond Week will run February 14 to 18 on the IDE trading floor. Earlier the bourse announced that World Diamond Council executive director Patricia Syvrud will also attend the event, as will a delegation of diamond buyers organized by the Hong Kong Jewellers Manufacturers' Association and led by the association's chairman, Adam Lau. Gaetano Cavalieri, president of CIBJO - The World Jewellery Confederation, is scheduled to lead a delegation of buyers from Italy.

Israeli-French auction house Tzoffey's 1818 will hold a business-to-business auction at the International Diamond Week, the IDE also announced.
