RAPAPORT... The Diamond Producers Association (DPA) released a short documentary
entitled “Why Real is Rare” that explores how and when couples realize their
connection has become a commitment.
The video is the latest move in the DPA’s marketing campaign to make
diamonds more appealing to millennials, under the slogan “Real is Rare. Real is
a Diamond.”
“In ‘Why Real is Rare,’ we share stories about the standout moments of
couples that shaped their relationships, the challenges they’ve faced, and
their unique take on why their commitment is the real deal,” said Nick Cannon,
an actor and producer who interviewed six real-life couples for the film.
The ‘docu-short’ was launched on the DPA’s “Real is a Diamond” YouTube
channel, coming in the wake of two online videos released last month that
featured imperfect relationships as a way of connecting with millennials.
