Pure Gold Jewellers Opens at Changi Intl. Airport

RAPAPORT... Pure Gold Jewellers  opened its doors at the duty-free departure zone of terminal one at Singapore's Changi International Airport. The retailer designed the boutique with an "upmarket" feel to ensure a comfortable shopping atmosphere, according to the firm. 

“Changi Airport has a vibrant duty free section driven by a booming tourism industry, airlines connectivity and topnotch amenities. We are proud to start our operations in this award winning airport. Our travel retail business has witnessed strong year-on-year growth and with this new addition, our business will be further strengthened,” said Karim Merchant, the CEO of Pure Gold Jewellers.

The terminal reportedly attracts  48.5 million visitors annually and is considered one of Singapore's best places for shopping and dining, according to Pure Gold. The retailer operates duty free boutiques  in Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Muscat, Kuwait and Sri Lanka and  supplies to Dubai duty free.
