AGS labs pioneered the Ideal Cut Grade for the Round Brilliant diamond – also known
as the AGS Ideal or the Triple Zero Cut.It created the first scientifically reviewed,
objective, and repeatable Cut Grade method in the industry — still the only of its
kind. Became the first major lab to offer diamond grading reports with a Cut Grade
for fancy shapes, including Princess, Emerald, and Oval, as well as patented proprietary
cuts.
The AGS Laboratories offers diamond grading reports with a simple, straightforward,
and intuitive scale as well as a variety of diamond grading reports, both with and
without a diamond Cut Grade.
AGS Diamond Quality ® Document (DQD) is the keystone in documentation offered by
the AGS Lab for many years. It is one of the most popular AGS documents, showing
cut (if available), color, clarity and carat weight, the diamond profile showing
measurements, a custom plot with the actual facet arrangement and inscription details.

AGS Diamond Quality ® Report (DQR) offers a complete grading analysis of the diamond,
including the profile with measurements, and a custom plot. The report shows a maximum
grade of AGS 1 (Excellent) – providing an option for diamonds which have less than
