Brazilian jeweler H. Stern has created a collection of jewelry inspired by the sketches of the country’s preeminent architect Oscar Niemeyer, perhaps best known for his work on the United Nations building in New York City, in collaboration with Le Corbusier and others. The collection, created in diamonds and gold, follows the beauty of curves and sinuous lines prevalent in Niemeyer’s work and is divided into three styles — Copan, Monument and Flower. Each design was personally approved by Niemeyer before his passing in 2012 at the age of 104.

Design firm Rhyme & Reason, formerly known as G&G Creations, received the Sixth Annual Centurion Emerging Designer Award. The line is a collaboration among three designers — Esin Guler and Mihran Guler, who are sister and brother, and Vahé Ghazarian — who come together as artists to work on the pieces in a “round table” method. Vahé and Esin incorporate free-form nature themes and organic patterns into the designs. Master stone setter Mihran chooses the diamonds and gems that will be used in each silver and 24-karat creation. New from Rhyme & Reason is the Sacred Story bridal collection.
Meredith Marks Designs has bowed a new spring collection of fashion-forward fine jewelry that embodies the beauty, culture and motifs of the many countries that the designer has visited. The pieces feature simple silhouettes, diamonds and colored gemstones in easy-to-wear designs that harmonize with the busy lifestyles of today’s modern woman — including a number of Hollywood notables, such as Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansson.
