Rapaport to Celebrate 30 Year Anniversary at Rapaport International Diamond Conference
September 8, 2008 – Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York
January 29 2008, New York - The Rapaport Group is pleased to announce that the annual Rapaport International Diamond Conference (IDC) will take place Monday, September 8, 2008 in the grand ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York. This year’s conference theme will be “Diamonds: 2010 – The Next Decade.”

Speakers will discuss the future outlook of the diamond industry with an emphasis on the economic, demographic and political factors globalizing diamond demand and their impact on diamond prices. Topics will include diamond finance, rough supply, manufacturing, commoditization and fair trade jewelry. A special presentation will be made in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Rapaport Diamond Report. As we have done at all previous conferences, all proceeds from the conference will be donated to charity. This year’s beneficiaries will be Jewelers for Children and the newly founded Fair Trade Diamond and Jewelry Association.
