Press Release: ImaGem is rolling out a state-of-the art viewer for retailers and gemologists. The ImaGem-Viewer can be used to showcase and compare diamonds, gemstones or jewelry. It will be on display at ImaGem’s booth #61306 in the ETS Pavilion at the JCK Show in Las Vegas.

The ImaGem-Viewer enables users to readily view the characteristic “blue flash” in composite rubies. It will be featured as part of the three-hour workshop on composite rubies being sponsored by the American Gemological Association (AGA) in conjunction with the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) and American Gemological Laboratories (AGL) on Friday, June 4 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Platinum Hotel.

“The ImaGem-Viewer plays an important role in the sales process,” said Dr. Aggarwal, the chairman and founder of ImaGem. “Unlike other viewers on the market, the viewer does not have moving parts or flickering lights.  It can be purchased directly from ImaGem without any qualifying pre-conditions or restrictions.”

The ImaGem-Viewer functions independently of a computer and has adjustable lighting. It can be used to compare multiple stones and jewelry pieces and can clearly show the signature pattern in branded cuts, such as “hearts and arrows,” etc. Comparing diamonds with different cut qualities makes for a powerful and convincing sales presentation.

“Lately, composite rubies are flooding the market and have become a big cause for concern,” said Suzanna Stull, a graduate gemologist and director of international sales at ImaGem.

Working closely with the members of the gem trade, she has found that composite rubies, when viewed through the ImaGem-Viewer, display the characteristic blue flash. Air bubbles, surface cracks and pits can also be seen.

The ImaGem-Viewer will be available for purchase at the JCK Show. ImaGem invites members of the industry to see its equipment there. Demonstrations of diamond fingerprinting and grading of color, fluorescence, clarity and light behavior will also be provided. For more information on ImaGem’s equipment, contact ImaGem Inc. at 1.215.477.9920 or send an email to info@imageminc.com.
