RAPAPORT... HRD Antwerp will complete the acquisition of Comdiam by the middle of October at which time HRD will have taken over all of Comdiam's activities.  Comdiam partners with the Belgian Scientific and Technical Research Centre for Diamonds (Wetenschappelijk en Technisch Onderzoeks Centrum voor Diamant), whose research is essentially geared towards the development of diamond tools.

The acquisition enables  HRD Antwerp to launch more state-of-the-art equipment and diamond tools worldwide. Antwerp diamond polishers will also have easy access to specialized tool training programs through HRD's education division. HRD Antwerp is currently in the process of drafting a cooperation agreement with the Diamond Industry Fund, whose mission is to stimulate employment in the Antwerp diamond sector.
