RAPAPORT... Jewelry Information Center (JIC) is launching the third annual ultimate proposal contest as part of its campaign to encourage retailers to engage its bridal customers. JIC will launch the contest on February 21, 2012, in a nationwide search for the best engagement proposal story.

JIC developed the contest to inspire enthusiasm among consumers for fine jewelry and each year, its reach grows – driving thousands of jewelry consumers to JIC.org to enter and vote and connect with Jewelers of America's retail members to learn more.

''After two successful ultimate proposal contests, we are thrilled to once again provide an effective marketing platform to Jewelers of America-member retailers,” said Robert Headley, JA’s chief operating officer.  “The ultimate proposal contest helps retailers engage existing customers after the all-important engagement ring purchase.”

The contest will end April 10. Registration for JA retail members interested to participate in the contest is available at www.jewelers.org/contest.
