Tiffany & Co. appointed Andrew Hart to the newly-created position of senior vice president of diamonds and gemstones. Hart, 44, joined Tiffany as a vice president in 1999 and since 2002, he has been president of Laurelton Diamonds . Hart, pictured, will continue to report to James N. Fernandez, the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Tiffany & Co. Michael J. Kowalski, Tiffany's chairman, said, "Andy has grown our diamond and gemstone division and our diamond manufacturing subsidiary, Laurelton Diamonds, into a world-class organization operating in seven countries with more than 1,600 employees. As we expand our business around the globe, the supply of high-quality diamonds and gemstones is of strategic importance to our success, and Andy will continue to play an important role in leading our efforts."
