UBM Opens its Hyderabad Jewelry, Gem Fair

RAPAPORT... UBM India opened the fifth edition of its  Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair (HJF) today. This event, which is a business-to-business (B2) exhibition,  will conclude on June 24. Organizers registered about 125 exhibitors and expect more than 4,000 attendees.

The event has arranged for educational seminars, workshops and a networking night  to foster  business partnerships. The HJF is supported by  Twin Cities Jewellery Association; AP Gold, Silver & Diamond Merchants Association;  Hyderabad Jewellery Manufactures Association;  Hyderabad Secunderabad Pearl Merchants Association, and the All Kerala Gold & Silver Merchants Association.

Kranti Nagvekar, UBM India's group director, said, "UBM India is proud to kick off the 2012 edition of the Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair. We are committed to providing the best trading platform for the jewelry industry across the supply chain. UBM India expresses gratitude to each of the associations for their unrelenting support and will continue to work in close partnership with them to enhance the results for the ever growing jewellery industry in the country."

Boorugu Suryaprakash Rao, the president of the AP Gold, Silver & Diamond Merchants Association, said, "We are pleased to extend our support to HJF 2012 for yet another year. This year, the B2B international exhibition will create more business avenues for jewellers industry-wide. The very positive and laudatory response to last year's edition of HJF will create a forum for a larger and more successful HJF 2012."

UBM India has also organized a Delhi Gem & Jewellery Fair for September 8 and 9; the Mumbai Gem & Jewellery Fair from January 5 to 7, 2013, and the Chennai's Gem & Jewellery India International Exhibition from March 16 to 18.
