RAPAPORT... Gitanjali Group recently opened its first global multi-brand store in Meena Bazaar, Dubai, with an aim to target international customers visiting the city. Bollywood actress and former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, inaugurated the Gitanjali Jewels flagship showroom.

“We are happy to open the first Gitanjali Jewels store in Meena Bazaar which is a shopping paradise for all the Asian community at large,” said Mehul Choksi, the chairman and managing director of Gitanjali Group. “This flagship Gitanjali Jewels store will usher in a new and exquisite brand experience in the city’s retail environment.”

The 2,000-square-foot store offers a selection of jewels including its brands Asmi, Natshatra, Nizam, Gili and Adler & Roth.

“I’m extremely pleased to be part of Gitanjali Jewels’ first flagship store opening in Dubai,” said Chopra, who is also the brand ambassador of Asmi by Gitanjali Jewels and who unveiled the new Asmi line of jewels during the event. “The brand represents the new age Indian woman, celebrating her new found economic and social independence.”
