RAPAPORT... Pure Gold Jewellers launched a collection of limited-edition jewelry items featuring diamonds for Ramadan. The Middle East-based retailer created a gold and mother-of-pearl drop-shape diamond pendant with the word ''Allah'' carved in Arabic and it also added pendants to its Pure Silver and Pure Sparkle collections. In addition, Pure Gold is offering a 20-pointer diamond solitaire pendant with diamond jewelry purchases of $1,089 (AED 3,999) or more. During Ramadan, the retailer will make a donation to Red Crescent Society for each ''like'' it receives on its Facebook page. Karim Merchant, the managing director of Pure Gold Jewellers, said, ''Every year we welcome Ramadan with great anticipation and in a spirit of charity. In celebration of the holy month, we have launched Islamic pendants that remind one of the many blessings of Ramadan. Charity is one of the main pillars of Ramadan and this year we are donating Dh10 for any new 'likes' we receive on our Facebook fan page. This also allows our customers to actively participate in the charity campaign.''
