RAPAPORT... Royal Asscher® expanded its exclusive retailer network in the U.K. by partnering with Fraser Hart, who will now offer a collection of diamond engagement rings and the brand's sapphire collection. Fraser Hart stores offer a range of gold and silver, diamond and gemstone jewelry and carry collections from brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Chopard, Bvlgari, IWC and Breitling.

Natalie Blagg, the diamond buyer at Fraser Hart, said, ''We are very pleased to partner with such an internationally recognized and respected brand as Royal Asscher. The engagement ring collection that we have introduced to a selected number of our stores will greatly enhance our existing offerings. This will provide our customers with the option of a truly exceptional and exclusive diamond and sapphire ring collection.''

Royal Asscher's engagement ring collection highlights Royal Asscher Cut diamonds, set in platinum. The sapphire collection includes rings with blue, pink and yellow sapphires to accessorize any occasion.

Mike Asscher, the managing director of Royal Asscher, said, ''As a sixth generation of our family business I am very proud to ensure our ties to the U.K. strengthen, we truly believe the quality and positioning of Fraser Hart is right in line with the one of Royal Asscher.''

The relationship between Royal Asscher and the British Royal family dates from 1908 when the Asscher brothers cut the largest rough diamond in the world, the Cullinan, for King Edward VII. The Cullinan was cut into nine different large diamonds and 43 smaller stones. The Cullinan I and II are mounted in the Scepter with the Cross and the Imperial State Crown, which are currently displayed in the Tower of London.
