RAPAPORT... The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) issued trademarks to two retailers this week. On August 14, Colorado-based retailer Shane Co. received the trademark for ''The World's Perfect Diamond,'' registration number 4192169. Shane Co. applied for the trademark on August 25, 2011 and will use the slogan in reference to jewelry made of diamonds and precious metals. Also on August 14, the USPTO issued the trademark ''Steal Her Heart A Diamond As Perfect As She Is'' to Oz's Jewelers Corporation of Hickory, North Carolina. The trademark was assigned the registration number 4190694 after being requested on January 5. The trademark consists of ''Steal Her Heart'' in stylized script with the phrase ''A Diamond As Perfect As She Is'' set in stylized script around one lobe of the heart.
