Delegate members from ASEAN +6 joined in sharing their vision for a united ASEAN gems and jewelry industry. Along with important trade partners such as China, India, Japan and South Korea, they signed the first MOU for regional cooperation in gems and jewelry. The host also held a heart-warming ASEAN Gems and Jewelry Gala Dinner to those distinguished guests on the evening.

Meanwhile, during the dinner party, loyal supporters were awarded with pure gold certification of perfect 50 times participation “Dedicated Exhibitor Award” for the long-time relationship between the exhibitors and the fair. The award was presented to each of loyal exhibitor who has been joining the BGJF since it was first held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in 1983.

The Design Pavilion is another highlight at the 50th BGJF. It was launched enthusiastically with a Chinese Lion Dance, followed by the Ploi Thai Jewelry Creation Awards. The awards were presented to the winners by Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, the director-general of Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP).

At the Creative Innovation Pavilion, a joint effort between the TGJTA and Swarovski Elements, announced the latest innovation from Swarovski, Xirius 1088 – that features the evolution of crystals. It was the place where the TGJTA board of directors along with industry leaders also marked the 50th BGJF “Golden Anniversary” success. Phornchindarak uncorked a bottle of champagne to symbolize the BGJF success and thanked all exhibitors and the BGJF Organizing Committee for their dedication.

The celebrations were not limited to the stage but off it, exhibitors were jubilant of the large number of orders placed during the fair’s five days.
