RAPAPORT... Retail developers AWE Talisman and Macerich named the anchors and  specialty stores set to open at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago on August 1.  The new outlet mall sits outside of Chicago, just minutes away from the O'Hare International Airport.

The planned space includes two-levels spanning 530,000 square feet and it will be anchored by Bloomingdale's The Outlet Store, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th and Forever 21. fashion outlet

Additionally, in terms of those retailers that sell  jewelry,  mall tenants include Barney's New York Outlet, Fossil, Gucci, Helzberg Diamonds, Kay Jewelers Outlet, Michael Kors and Watch Station.

"We don't believe there is another shopping environment that reaches this caliber of global brands with this level of customer care and market access," said AWE Talisman's chairman, Arthur Weiner.  "Beyond the robust slate of retail and dining attractions, Fashion Outlets of Chicago also will offer an exciting set of customer amenities and social experiences, including a world-class art installation."

The developer said that Fashion Outlets of Chicago is the latest  project in an increasingly rich Rosemont neighborhood, which has experienced a number of new restaurants and entertainment venues open in recent years. The owner also plans to offer regular shuttles to and from the airport's terminals, as well as to and from downtown hotels and expects to partner with TSA-certified BAGS Inc. to operate a special concierge service that allows travelers to print boarding passes and check shopping bags and luggage directly to their flights.
