RAPAPORT... Jewelers of America (JA) added a jewelry jobs board to its website, www.jewelers.org, which is designed specifically to connect employers with talent from across the jewelry industry. The service is free for those seeking open positions, whether it be in sales, management, marketing, merchandising, bench or design. The job board is powered by JobTarget, which helps JA distinguish itself from general job boards by providing access to jewelry industry-specific jobs and allowing employers to easily post openings, track activity and promote their job opportunities to JA members and elsewhere. JA is offering a special introductory discount of $50 off all 30- and 60-day job postings through April 30, using the promotional code ''JAJOB50'' and the organization's members receive additional discounts and guidance. JA also posted a "Guide to Careers in the Jewelry Industry" for individuals considering a job change or just starting out, in addition to JA's Jewelry Schools Directory.
