RAPAPORT... Pandora jewelry introduced an earring concept, which the brand stated would allow women to express their personal style in a new way and inspire creativity. Pandora plans to launch this sterling silver earring barrels charm in May that would double as earrings. The barrels each hold a single unthreaded charm, which is then hung from Pandora's French wire posts or hoop earrings. "The beauty of the Pandora collection is that it allows each woman to wear her jewelry in a way that expresses her individuality, personal style and unforgettable moments," said Angel Ilagan, the vice president of marketing for Pandora North America. "This newest product gives women another way to showcase pavé or openwork charms as an earring in addition to wearing it on a bracelet or necklace." The new earrings work in combination with Pandora's assortment of French wire posts, hoops or earring pendants that can be worn interchangeably. The wearer can customize these pieces and switch from a streamlined, classic style into a dressier look with a touch of color, according to Ilagan.
