China to Chair Kimberley Process in 2014

RAPAPORT... The People's Republic of China has been elected as vice chair of the Kimberley Process for the duration of this year and will assume the chair in 2014.
South Africa, the current Kimberley Process chair, led by Ambassador Welile Nhlapo, will transfer the leadership role to China on January 1.
The Kimberley Process celebrated its 10th anniversary this week during the annual intersessional meeting that is currently underway in Kimberley, South Africa.
