RAPAPORT... Retail jeweler Pandora plans to open a new flagship store on London's Oxford Street at the Park House building between Bond Street stations and Marble Arch before the end of August. The 200-square-meter space is being described as the brand's largest concept store and it will occupy two floors, with the first floor being made available for hosting special events.

Pandora's president for Western Europe, Peter Andersen, said, "London is the fashion capital of the world and our global flagship store on Oxford Street will amplify our position in the market as a leading jewelry brand. We have wanted to open a Pandora global flagship store in London since the beginning and this is something we have been working towards for five years, we are very happy to have been able to realize our dream. The store will allow us to offer an unrivaled customer experience and will be a major attraction for shoppers from across the globe.”

Meanwhile, the brand's U.S. operations  urged its shoppers to celebrate the ''dog days of summer'' with the newest and brightest Pandora jewelry pieces comprised of ocean-inspired faceted Murano glass charms or hand-finished, sleek leather bracelets.

The new hand-cut, faceted Murano glass charms are available in vibrant teal, aqua, purple sea glass, blue sea glass or multi-colored sea glass colors.

Angel Ilagan, the vice president of marketing for Pandora North America, said, "Pandora offers an endless sea of options for women that like to highlight their summer style with bright colors and bold fashions. Our colorful new pieces are the perfect accessory for sunny days and warm nights."
