Tiffany & Co. Appoints Design Director

RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. named Francesca Amfitheatrof as the jeweler's  design director. Amfitheatrof will be responsible for overseeing the design of all of Tiffany's product categories.

Tiffany's chairman, Michael J Kowalski, noted the combination of the company's renowned reputation for design coupled with Amiftheatrof's passion for jewelry and craftsmanship will enable it to provide designs for the modern global consumer.

Amfitheatrof is a jewelry designer and silversmith by trade. She most recently served as the founding partner of RS&A, a London-based agency that represents contemporary artists. Her designs have been sold at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Colette in Paris. She has also crafted jewelry for Chanel, Fendi and Marni. In addition, she was an art consultant, curator and advisor for major collections and private individuals.
