India Assigns Trademarks to Tara Jewels, Shree Ganesh, Others

RAPAPORT... India's Office of The Trade Marks Registry approved several trademarks for diamond and jewelry brands on October 28 all of which fell under the Class 14 classification.

Shree Ganesh Jewellery House Ltd. of Kolkata received approval for the trademark ''Gaja Diamond'' with the registration number 2172848. The trademark came under Class 14 and was described to represent jewelry  of all kinds and medallions in gold, silver, platinum, studded/unstudied with/without precious, semi precious stones and/or diamonds. Shree Ganesh Jewellery House has been using Gaja Diamond since December 31, 2010.

KP Sanghvi Jewels Pvt. Ltd. of Mumbai received the trademark ''KPJ'' with the registration number 2272627. KPJ applies to precious metals and their alloys, cut and polished diamonds, rough in diamonds, precious stones, semi-precious stones colored stones, jewelry  homological and other chronometric instruments, etc.

SCS Overseas (India) Pvt. Ltd. of New Delhi, received the trademark ''SCS'' with the registration number 1656838. SCS Oversees has been using the trademark since September 30, 1998 and it applies to all types of jewelry, with or without diamonds, and ornaments, pearls, bullion and other items.

Tara Jewels Ltd. of Mumbai received the trademark ''Pristinium'' with the registration number 2273303. This trademark includes diamonds, cut and polished diamonds of different shapes and sizes and colors, gold and diamond studded jewelry of all kinds, platinum and their alloys, precious and semi precious stones. Tara Jewels has been using the trademark since since January 25, 2012.

GTI Jewellery India Ltd. of Mumbai received the trademark ''GTI'' with the registration number 1963991. The company has been using the trademark since May 18, 2005 and it applies to precious metals and their alloys and goods in precious metals, precious stones, homological and other chronometric instruments. GTI Jewellery India is part of the K. M. Shah Group and manufactures and supplies jewelry products, including rough diamonds.
