Press Release: The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) held its annual luncheon event at the Waldorf~Astoria on Friday, January 10, 2014. The event brought together industry members from every aspect of the jewelry industry and celebrated JVC’s elite sponsors for their generosity at the event and throughout the year. During the event the Stanley Schechter Award was presented to Brad Brooks-Rubin, for his work as the special advisor for conflict diamonds while he was employed at the U.S. State Department. He is currently of counsel to Holland & Hart LLP. The keynote speaker was former Assistant Secretary of State Jose Fernandez, currently a partner at the law firm of Gibson Dunn in New York City.
