RAPAPORT... Firestone Diamonds appointed Glenn Black as the chief project officer for the company's Liqhobong diamond mine in Lesotho.

Black joins Firestone's senior management team with 40 years of experience in the mining industry and over 30 years of project management experience at a senior management level. He spent 20 years at De Beers, where he worked on projects in Namibia, South Africa and Botswana. During this time, he oversaw nine projects undertaken by the company and completed them ahead of schedule and or under budget, Firestone stated.

Stuart Brown, the CEO of Firestone, noted that Black's experience in building a successful project team will be critical as the company begins the development and construction of the main treatment plant at Liqhobong, which is set to come online in early 2016.
