Tiffany & Co. Names Nicoletti as CFO

Fernandez to Retire in July

RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. named Ralph Nicoletti as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) effective  April 2, 2014. He will join the jeweler from CIGNA, where he was an executive vice president and CFO. Tiffany & Co.'s current chief operating officer (COO) and  CFO, James N. Fernandez, is planning to retire in July at which time the jeweler plans to eliminate the role of COO.

Nicoletti, 56, will be based in New York and be responsible for the retailer's worldwide financial functions and information technology. He will report to Michael J. Kowalski, the chairman and CEO of Tiffany & Co.

Kowalski said, "We have made key management additions to our organization in recent years. Our first-class finance and IT functions and Ralph's leadership experience and global perspective will be valuable to Tiffany's continued worldwide expansion."

Kowalski added that during Fernandez's 30-year tenure at Tiffany & Co., he played a critical role in building a world-class distribution, manufacturing and diamond-sourcing infrastructure.
