Press Release: MDL Diamond Merchants, one of the leading diamond companies in Canada, has acquired the latest version of DiamondSure, a synthetic detection machine that was developed by De Beers.

This latest technology is critical because  the incidence of synthetic diamonds is becoming a concern for the global diamond industry.

Isaac Mimar, the CEO of MDL, indicates that this machine will be used to verify the natural origin of all diamonds over 0.10 carat. This should give MDL’s clients and ultimately the final consumer, an unparalleled level of confidence that will build further assurance in MDL’s product and increase  transparency in the chain of custody of ownership throughout our distribution channel.
