New Trademarks for Sterling, Bernie Robbins; Smithsonian Submits 'Hope Diamond'

RAPAPORT... The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) approved the trademark "Artistry Yellow Diamonds" for Signet Jeweler's subsidiary, Sterling Jewelers Inc. of Ohio on June 17 with the registration number 4552829. The trademark refers to diamond jewelry and was originally filed on March 21, 2013.

The trademark "Change Your Relationship Status" was approved by the USPTO on June 17 for Bernie Robbins Jewelers Inc. of New Jersey with the registration number  4552783. The trademark refers to retail store and online retail services  that include jewelry, watches, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, gold, platinum and precious metals. The trademark was first used in commerce in March 2014. 

The USPTO received a trademark  request for the "Hope Diamond" on June 12 from Lauryn H. Guttenplan, representing the Smithsonian Institution, with the serial number 85460148. The application refers to goods and services such as perfumes, fragrances, colognes, cosmetics, soaps and hand, body and face lotions, according to the filing.
