Press Release: OGI Systems Group, the leading global company for technological solutions in the diamond industry, announces the current launch of the Scanox Zoom at Hong Kong’s Jewelry & Gem Fair 2014.

Scanox Zoom is an innovative measurement system created for capturing and grading the symmetry of a polished diamond. This system is a unique solution that allows a user to capture the facet of a diamond in the most precise way, which assists in the grading and assessment of the symmetry of a stone. This technology replaces the use of a microscope in the diamond laboratory grading process.

Scanox Zoom allows the visual simulation of diamond symmetry and girdle to ensure that the facets meet perfectly. This system contributes to quick and efficient laboratory analysis. It offers the option of documenting images that validates the authenticity of diamond symmetry analysis. Scanox Zoom hardware is compatible to SymCut software. This software displays the asymmetrical features in a diamond and recommends possible changes to the polishing plan in minimum weight loss.

This constitutes a breakthrough in the technology of analyzing and grading round brilliant diamonds. The SymCut software can identify asymmetric spots in all stages of diamond polishing. This enables the polisher to perform precise reparation of the gem, as to achieve the best possible symmetry and proportion grades along with the highest yield.
