Press Release: Luxeford is pleased to offer a variety of choice, fine jewelry and watches alongside decorative art items at our upcoming auction in Hong Kong, taking place on November 20. This sale will feature over 200 lots, presenting designs and workmanship from eras ranging from the Art Deco period, Retro through to the Digital Age, of such famous designers as “JAR.”

The rarity and quality of invaluable gemstones and fine jewelry continue to enthuse and aspire buyers. The sale will feature an exquisite step-cut 22.79-carat, octagonal, Colombian emerald ring, flanked by trilliant-cut diamond shoulders and it is estimated to sell at $930,000 (HKD 7.2 million).

A vivacious 11.16-carat unheated Kashmir sapphire ring, adorned by its equally stunning emerald shoulders and pavé-set diamond surround, has a presale estimate of $410,000 (HKD 3.2 million).

Of subtle magnificence, a jadeite necklace comprised of 68 gently graduated jadeite beads with remarkably uniform sizes  and mesmerizing apple green color, suffused with bright green patches and good translucency, has a presale estimate of $150,000 (HKD 1.2 million). Also of notable importance is a longstanding jadeite bangle with cylindrical carving of rich emerald green color that is bright green and deep green suffusion, paired with its glassy translucency, dewy texture and saturated tone. A graciously striking 25.71-carat unheated Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring, of intense cornflower blue color, is estimated at $150,000 (HKD 1.2 million).

A fine-looking 11.00-carat unheated vivid pink sapphire from Ceylon, the ring of bombé design, centering upon the oval-cut gem of such rare size by the brilliant-cut diamond border, baguette-cut diamond shoulders and pavé-set brilliant-cut diamond dome to the half-hoop, is estimated at $103,000 (HKD 800,000).

Highlights from private collections include a sophisticated set of colored diamond and diamond jewelry, presenting nine diamonds ranging from fancy purplish pink to fancy deep pink colors weighing 1.12 to 0.38 carats, with an estimated value of $130,000 (HKD 1 million).

Additional items include an important Van Cleef & Arpels diamond bracelet, comprised of approximately 44.00 carats of E to F/VVS to VS diamonds, estimated at $170,000 (HKD 1.3 million), as well as pieces from other renowned jewelry houses such as Buccellati, Harry Winston, Cartier and Tiffany & Co.

Further anticipated items include: a radiant 4.04-carat ruby and diamond ring; a pair of delicately intense emerald green jadeite and diamond earrings set with finely transparent but beautifully compact jadeite cabochons of ‘lao keng’ genus  and an 11.81-carat, cat’s eye cabochon and diamond ring displaying well-centered, pronounced chatoyancy of the fascinating double-cat’s-eye effect.
