RAPAPORT...  Swiss watch brand Hublot opened a Hublot Galerie in Miami, Florida, marking the brand's 11th freestanding boutique in the U.S. The Miami shop also presented a completely new retail concept in terms of space design and it will be the first to carry only exclusive limited-edition and high complication pieces, some of which have never been sold in the U.S.

Hublot Galerie, which is located in the Miami Design District, will also introduce a Hublot Galerie Collector's Club, intending to bring collectors and brand aficionados together to share the intimate world of Hublot luxury.

Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot's CEO, said, "We believe that the Design District is the future of Miami.  With its alfresco shopping mall and restaurants, it has become the coolest place to be. The Design District is very arty with its many galleries and Pop Art vibe. We therefore wanted to take inspiration from this and create a boutique with a new gallery-inspired design."

The new store is the fourth location for Hublot in Florida. The store's grand opening was hosted by Guadalupe and brand ambassador Usain Bolt, who led a group of local children in a special sprint race in  support of the Usain Bolt Foundation.

Also on display during the event was a one-of-a-kind "Big Bang Unico" timepiece and watch box, designed by Mr. Brainwash (street artist Thierry Guetta),   an expression of art inspired by Mr. Brainwash's famed Mona Lisa painting.
