RAPAPORT... Bovet 1822 debuted four new timepieces at Salon, including the Amadeo® Fleurier Tourbillon Braveheart, a timepiece with a 22-day power reserve and six patents needed to create the unique tourbillon and efficient winding system. bovet 1822

Following the release of Bovet’s Virtuoso II specialty caliber at Salon 2014, the first non-tourbillon movement made entirely in-house by Bovet,  the 2015 collection featured three new timepieces utilizing that specialty caliber. The first novelty, the Amadeo® Fleurier Mr. Bovet, extends the Virtuoso II caliber movement to the signature Amadeo® case system. The patented double co-axial seconds carriage is put to good use with the reverse hand-fitting of the Mr. Bovet timepiece that allows for an additional hours and minutes dial on the reverse side.

Following that theme, the Amadeo® Fleurier Virtuoso V is another novelty featuring the new caliber within the Amadeo® system, with the addition of a jumping hour with retrograde minutes. The Virtuoso V has been given additional detail with four engraved plates on the front.

The third timepiece presented with the specialty Virtuoso II caliber is the Recital 17, which is a triple time zone set within a Dimier case, which is recognized by its crown at 3 o’clock. In addition to the second and third time zones -- each having a city disk and day/night indicator -- there is a double moon phase located at 6 o’clock.
