Lucapa's Third Sale of Lulo Production Achieves $790K

RAPAPORT... Lucapa Diamond Company Ltd. sold 1,450.16 carats of diamonds at its third sale from the Lulo diamond concession in Angola, achieving proceeds of $790,000, or $420 per carat. This sale did not include a large number of large, premium-value diamonds, according to the firm. As with previous sales, this tender was conducted by Angola's government diamond marketing agency, SODIAM, in the capital of Luanda.

Lucapa's three sales from Lulo production totaled $6.8 million, for 2,317.71 carats, with the highest value achieved in excess of $20,000 per carat, while the remainder averaged $400 per carat.
