Luxury Consigner RealReal Opens NY Valuation Office

RAPAPORT... RealReal, which provides authenticated luxury consignment sales, has opened a valuation office in New York City to provide sellers with free valuations of their fine jewelry and watches, according to a company announcement.
The midtown Manhattan office is staffed by RealReal's graduate gemologists and watch experts who assess and provide a valuation document on the spot. The company said the new concept aligns with its mission to address the gap in the market for a reliable place to get accurate fine jewelry and watch valuations.
"We're proud to now offer a free valuation service that you truly can't get anywhere else," said Senior Director of Fine Jewelry and Watches Michael Groffenberger. "Often, jewelry sellers treat pricing like a trade secret. What we're doing is sharing this information transparently so consumers know how much their fine jewelry and watches are truly worth."
RealReal’s authenticated luxury consignment services are available in 18 major cities across the U.S. The company’s representative will go to an individual's home to consult with them on the consignment process and pick up their items.
