Akerman has served as PDE president since its founding in 2008. As managing director, he will shift his focus to the next stage of development of the Jewelry Hub, the construction of a multi-story office tower and business center in Latin America's only dedicated gemstone and jewelry trading hub. A successor as PDE president will be named during the coming weeks.
