RAPAPORT... A 12.31-carat VVS1 pear-shaped fancy light pink diamond and diamond ring valued at an estimated $3.1 million (HKD 24 million) are among the highlights at a tender by Hong Kong auction house Luxeford in November, the company said in a statement.

The stone is exceptionally chemically pure and flanked by pear-shaped diamond shoulders weighing 1.26 and 1.2 carats and an openwork gallery embellished with pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds of pink hue, Luxeford said in the statement.

Also up for auction on November 10 at Hong Kong’s Conrad Hotel is a jadeite necklace with an estimated value of $970,000 comprising 34 gently graduated round jadeite beads of very good translucency measuring approximately 10.68mm to 18.72mm, the statement added.

Other lots include a pair of SSEF-certified ‘Royal Blue’ sapphire and a pair of diamond earrings weighing 12 and 11.20 carats originating in Sri Lanka, estimated at $620,000. The gems have not undergone thermal treatment and comprise rich and homogeneous colors, high clarity and a “marvelously” proportioned cut, according to the seller’s description.

In addition, the auction will showcase a pair of unmounted pear-shaped D-color, internally flawless diamonds weighing 4.56 and type-IIa 4.52 carats, estimated at $520,000; a 21.46-carat emerald and diamond ring, estimated at $450,000; and a natural pearl and diamond necklace with three strands of cream pearls valued at $430,000.

A public exhibition of these and other lots will be held at the Conrad Hotel from November 7 to 10.
