Jewelry Brand TOUS Picks Gwyneth Paltrow for Ad Campaign

RAPAPORT... Spain-headquartered
jewelry brand TOUS has signed up Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow as
the star of its upcoming global advertising campaign.
Paltrow
will appear in the campaign “Tender Stories Nº4,” which is aimed at depicting
“tenderness as a universal TOUS value,” according to a statement December 16.
She will tell viewers a story that “aims to further explore the brand's
essential value with a cool, intelligent, moving and fun tone.”
"We are delighted that Gwyneth is going to be the face of
TOUS in our upcoming campaigns,” said Rosa Tous, the company’s corporate vice
president. "As well as being an incredibly beautiful woman, Gwyneth
is a talented actress who is able to transmit the essential value behind our
brand: tenderness.”
Paltrow won the Academy Award for
best actress in 1998 for her role in the movie Shakespeare
in Love. She also created lifestyle website Goop.
Founded
in 1920, TOUS is a family-run lifestyle jewelry brand with lines of handbags,
fragrances, watches, eyewear and accessories.
