RAPAPORT... Trans Hex Group said the takeover offer for the South Africa-based diamond miner has been declared unconditional after competition authorities approved the deal October 26.

Cream Magenta and Metcap, both of which are owned by South African retail tycoon Christo Wiese, offered $0.29 (ZAR 3.94) per share for the company in concert with RAC Investment Holdings. TransHex operates mines in South Africa and Angola.

No other regulatory approvals are required, Trans Hex said.
