RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) has appointed Tiffany Stevens as president and chief executive officer, replacing Cecilia Gardner, who has served in the role for 18 years.

Stevens (pictured) will take up the position on March 6, the legal advisory organization said on Tuesday.

A qualified lawyer, Stevens has previously held leadership roles at non-profit organizations and foundations focused on the environment, education and the arts. She was most recently chief operating officer at the Sohn Conference Foundation, which funds pediatric cancer research and medical fellowships.

“Her strong not-for-profit background will ensure that JVC continues to thrive and meet the challenges the jewelry industry faces,” said Gardner, who announced her intention to leave the JVC last April.
